Air Bronchogram Sign in Primary Pulmonary T-Cell Lymphoma with Multiple Nodules
نویسنده
چکیده
A 33-year-old man was admitted with fever, chest pain and multiple nodules. Infection was the first diagnosis and antibiotic therapy was considered for the patient. After two weeks of no improvement, infection was ruled out and based on the CT findings, metastatic tumor of the lung was strongly considered. The CT imaging of the patient also demonstrated air bronchogram in a mass-like lesion and one nodular lesion. Eventually, the patient underwent CTguided transthoracic needle biopsy of the mass-like lesion in the right upper lung. The sample confirmed a primary pulmonary T-cell lymphoma. The patient entered complete remission after one course of CHOP (cyclophosphamide, adriamycin, vincristine and prednisone) combination chemotherapy. During the second course of combination chemotherapy, the patient died of an uncontrollable secondary pulmonary infection.

Unusual Presentation of T-cell non-Hodgkin Lymphoma with Multiple Skin Nodules
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is very uncommon in infancy and skin as the primary site of involvement in Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is rarely encountered. We describe a 10-month-old infant with T-cell Non-Hodgkin lymphoma who presented with multiple skin nodules as the predominant feature of her disease. The clinical manifestations, treatment strategy and disease outcome are reviewed. Key words: Non-Hodgk...
متن کاملPlain and contrast-enhanced chest computed tomography scan findings of pulmonary cryptococcosis in immunocompetent patients.
Pulmonary cryptococcosis is most commonly reported in immunocompromised patients, whereas immunocompetent hosts are rarely affected and may be asymptomatic, resulting in reduced diagnostic performance of computed tomography (CT) imaging. Thus, the aim of the present study was to review the plain and contrast-enhanced chest CT scan findings of primary pulmonary cryptococcosis in immunocompetent ...

PURPOSE The aim of the study was to present the computed tomography (CT) and fluorine 18 (F) fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography (FDG-PET)/CT imaging findings of pulmonary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma and evaluate their roles in the follow-up of this tumor. METHODS Computed tomography and FDG-PET/CT imaging findings of 18 cases of pathologically proven pulmona...
متن کاملClinical, pathological, and radiological characteristics of solitary ground-glass opacity lung nodules on high-resolution computed tomography
BACKGROUND Lung nodules are being detected at an increasing rate year by year with high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) being widely used. Ground-glass opacity nodule is one of the special types of pulmonary nodules that is confirmed to be closely associated with early stage of lung cancer. Very little is known about solitary ground-glass opacity nodules (SGGNs). In this study, we analyze...
متن کاملClinicopathological features of patients with bronchial-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma.
OBJECTIVE Extranodal marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) type is the most frequent type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma to primarily involve the lung. Pulmonary MALT lymphoma, also known as bronchial-associated lymphoid tissue (BALT) lymphoma, is a rare disease and the clinicopathological features have yet to be clearly elucidated. PATIENTS AND METHODS The present stu...
